Stig of the Dump “They” Video
BOOM! That’s my one word review of Stig’s new single “They”. Pete Cannon has created a monster of a beat, which is lucky cos that’s exactly what’s needed to support Stig’s bars. Big up to the both of them and props to LUX for creating a nice video. Year of the Stig? The odds are looking good. You can buy “They” from Bandcamp.
DJ Format ft. Edan “Spaceship Earth”
Remember when Edan dropped one of 2011′s tighest verses on that “Ronald Morgan” joint with Blu? Well he’s gone and done it again with his guest spot on DJ Format’s soon-to-be-released album, “Statement of Intent”. “Spaceship Earth” hears Format creating a beast of beat, tailor made for Edan’s crazy syllable placement. Check it out and stay tuned from Format coming to the site very soon.
Booda French “61 Grace” Prod. By J57
Props to Booda French aka Truth, for landing his new joint “61 Grace”, on 2dopeboyz. Produced by Brown Bag Allstars member J57, the track is getting a lot of much deserved hype right now. If you haven’t heard it yet, check it out below, then go rate and comment on 2dopeboyz.
Dubbledge “L.O.V.E”
Feeling this new track from Dubbledge. No prizes for guessing “L.O.V.E” is all about love and how we need to spread it all around… there’s no arguing with that philosophy. With LG on production and Dubbledge on his usual dope form, I’d advise you all to check this one out. Stay tuned for more new music coming soon from Armlegga.
Skuff “Feeling Good” Video
Some summer vibes to warm your cockles, courtesy of Skuff aka Joey Lips. He’s dropped this tidy track, which he also produced, called “Feeling Good”. The title comes from the Nina Simone song he’s reworked into the beat and I gotta say it works nicely. The track is taken from Skuff’s album “Destroy Everything”, which is coming soon and you can cop a limited free download of “Feeling Good” from his Bandcamp. Props to Inja on the camera!
“The Adventures of Telemachus Vol. 2″ Free Download

New mix from one of my favourite producers, Telemachus (Chemo for the uninitiated). It’s part of a series of free mixtapes that are being dropped in preparation for the release of his album “In The Evening”. I posted the first mix on my old site and with good reason as it racked up a total of 18,000 downloads, so expect more of the same quality this time round.
The mix features tracks with a whole heap of different flavours, including the likes of Kraftwerk, Slum Village, Eek A Mouse and P Brothers. You can grab your free download here and you’ll also find a link to the first volume, if you missed it before.
Reveal – Seven Shades EP
Its finally here, we had 3 videos in the lead up to “Seven Shades” and now we get to hear the full project. Listen below and click HERE to find out where to D/L the EP, which comes complete with 7 pieces of original artwork.
Ramson Badbonez & Twizzy “Not Seeing It” Video
This is the new video from Badbonez and Twizzy, fresh off the reels last night. The track “Not Seeing It” is taken from their “The Good, The Bad and The Ugly” mixtape, which is set to drop in the near future. Got a lot of time for Twizzy and the rest of the Bristol crew, so good to see them making some bigger movements this year. Also can’t forget to big up Hutch on the beats and Chris Lucas on the camera. Big skills all round.
Logic & Last Resort Ft. Rewd Adams “Animal” Video
Big visual business, once again, from the Global Faction team! This time for the massive track “Animal”, from Logic and Last Resort’s “True Talk” album. The track also features some nice bars from Rewd Adams. Props to everyone involved.
Steady Rock & Oliver Sudden “They Never Know” Ft. Efeks, Jaz Kahina & Reain
Really digging this new track from Steady Rock and Oliver Sudden. Fans of Steady’s due Prose, will already know what to expect from the boom bap professional and this beat is up there with the best of them. As if that dastardly duo wasn’t enough, they’ve also got Prose’s other half Efeks, on board, as well as Jaz Kahina and Reain. All of them are on point and it’ll definitely be worth checking the rest of the Steady & Sudden EP, “The Shutdown”, when it drops on 6 February. You can cop it from Bandcamp.
Archive: Vermin Interview
This is an interview I did with Dale Marshall, aka Vermin, which first appeared on my old site in April 2010. Obviously some of the info is out of date now, but I thought I’d post it up cos it’s a pretty good read, in my totally unbiased opinion.

Me: For those unfamiliar with you and your background, how did you first get into painting and the Bristol scene in particular?
Vermin: Graffiti was bought to my attention at the age of nine when seeing a piece saying ‘hip hop‘, on the back of some garages locally. As well as doing other things at that age there was an instant attraction to graffiti. It was something I had subconsciously carried with me until the age of 13 when in 1986 I first picked up a can. To be fair it took a few years to gain can control; tagging wasn’t a problem but by this time, living in a small town, influences were few and far between so it was a case of developing style on my own. It wasn’t until the early 90s a few of us would venture into Bristol to paint walls, it just seemed the right thing to do now having a certain amount of can control. Bristol had had a thriving scene in the late 80s but the infamous Operation Anderson graffiti crackdown messed it up. We would venture in and start where that era had finished. AssociatedMinds Bumpcast #4

Check out the latest Bumpcast from AssociatedMinds. As always it’s a heady mix of old and new jams, selected by Mayor and mixed by DJ Veto. It features everyone from Blueprint and Aesop Rock to Danny Brown and Roc Marciano, as well as some UK reps from Jehst, Willo Wispa and T-Bear, amongst others. For some shitty reason it’s never possible to embed Mixcloud stuff on here, so follow the link to give it a listen: mixcloud.com/AM/the-bumpcast-4
Caxton Press “Running” Video
Feeling this new video from Caxton Press, got my Monday all hyped. Caxton Press – Manage, Amy True, eMCee Killa, KingPin & DJSnuff – have an album dropping soon, which by the sounds of it, is going to be huge. This vid was made by the forever dope Global Faction and the track was produced by Essex badman, Profound. The album “Shame the Devil”, is out on 12 March.
